The Unspoken Veil is a site-specific relief installation that seamlessly merges with the exhibition space. Constructed on a 5/8-inch backer panel containing embedded hand forms, the surface is tightly wrapped in spandex and built up with meticulously sanded joint compound. When recessed into the gallery wall, taped, mudded, and painted with the ambient wall color, the panel becomes indistinguishable from the surrounding architecture. The physical result is a stark, monochromatic illusion of human hands pressing outward from behind the wall's surface, capturing a silent, static push against an invisible barrier.
